Pizza Hut

Today we fed our family of 5 for $11 at the Pizza Hut in Urbandale. I found a coupon online HERE for $5 buffet for adults that has no expiration date. Once we were there, they also told us that kids 10 and under ate for free. (Not sure if this is their official rule because our waitress wasn't positive, but that's the deal she gave us.) On top of that, my son had a free personal pizza Book-It coupon. Good deals seem to fall into my lap!

Hy-Vee

Tuesday from 4-7pm has 99cent kids meals for kids 12 and under. They used to have a rule where you had to purchase an adult meal as well, but their new flier doesn't mention this rule and we didn't purchase adult meals earlier this week to get the deal. There are crafts and activities for kids to do as well. Be sure to register at the little table, every 10 visits (I think it's 10 anyway) your kids get to draw a paper from their basket for an additional free coupon for something in the store - usually another free kids meal coupon or a free dozen cookies, etc. If you haven't been there since they switched from the cards to the book, your kids will get to draw a paper to make up for any lost punches on their previous card. This week my kids won a free dozen cookies, a box of fruit snacks, and a slice of pizza. WIN!

Free E-Books

Did you know that you can download free E-books to your computer, nook, kindle, or other e-reader? We have library cards in Ankeny and Urbandale, and with each library card you have you are able to download free e-books. There is a lending period where the e-book will expire, but it's nice to be able to download books to read on the go and not have to actually go to the library.

There is no age restriction at the Ankeny library to get a library card, but you need to be at least 5 years old to get an Urbandale library card.

Happy Meals at McDonalds are $1.99 from 10:30-close on Wednesday. There is no limit on the number of happy meals you can purchase at the Ankeny locations.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Wednesday kids meals are $1.99 with drinks included at Buffalo Wild Wings. I don't think there is a limit on how many discounted kids meals you can purchase per table or a requirement on adult meals purchased, we were able to get 3 kids meals at that price and my husband and I shared an appetizer for dinner.
